SQL2 Quest

== Intro ==

This is a short fantasy quest game made in SDL2.

As this is just a short game, there are a few limitations:

* You cannot load or save your game

* You cannot adjust the sound or music

* You cannot adjust the controls

== Gameplay ==

You are a robot, having awoken in a world that you do not remember. Your memory circuits have lost all their historical data, and so you will need to explore the world and learn more about it.

There are two main objectives to do this: the complete the exploration, by visiting every island, town, and building in the world; and also fulfilling quests that are given out by speaking to the residents of the town.

The robot can move around shallow water, grassland, and desert areas, but cannot cross deep water, forests, or mountains. In order to cross water, a boat can be used. To use a boat, simply walk into it. You will remain in the boat for as long as it is in deep water. If you come into contact with land, you will disembark.

Towns can be visited by simply walking into them. To speak to the town residents, walk into them.

There are three types of quests available: Deliver, which involves taking an item to someone in another time; Find, which involves locating a lost item in the world or another town; and Dispose, which involves burying an item at a spot on an island.

There is no end game, so you are free to quit at any time.

Maps are randomly generated when the game starts. This might take some time (and, in rare instances, it might not be possible to fully complete a map). Play time is roughly 10 to 15 minutes.
